About US

What We Believe

Addiction is chronic, relapsing brain disease that is characterized by compulsive drug seeking and substance use, despite harmful consequences.

Treatment Philosophy

We believe that addiction is a disease manifested in habitual and excessive substance use and/or behaviors that interfere with an individual's mental and physical health, interpersonal relations, family life, and financial and work capacity. We view addiction as a treatable chronic and progressive disease, with sobriety and recovery being the realistic treatment objective for the patient and their family.

The first goal in treatment is abstinence and sobriety. All treatment activity must support abstinence and sobriety. We believe that addiction is a powerful disease and that relapse is often part of the recovery process, not a failure. We believe that the patient's family and/or significant others play a key support function in their treatment and sobriety.

We believe;

•A professional relationship between the client and therapist counselor is essential

•Addiction is a disease effecting brain function

•We are privileged to assist in the clients process of change, growth, and recovery

Standards of Care

Our staff adheres to established professional codes of ethics that define the CAADAC professional. We maintain professional standards and safeguard the client. We recognize; CAADAC Code of Ethics, Clients’ rights and responsibilities, Professional standards and scope of practice, Boundaries between client and counselor, Nondiscriminatory practices, Mandatory reporting requirements
